Abstract
V diplomskem delu smo testirali tri izbrane tehnologije tiska in primerjali učinkovitost in kakovost posameznih tehnik. Cilj je bil izdelati podnapise v Brajevi pisavi, kjer smo upoštevali standarde. V raziskavi smo vključili tehnologijo 3D tiska, kapljičnega tiska in sitotiska. Pri 3D tisku smo se odločili za uporabo stereolitografskega tiskalnika, ki za filament uporablja tekočo fotopolimerno smolo, pri kapljičnem tisku smo uporabili UV kapljični tiskalnik, pri sitotisku pa smo tisk izvajali na ročni vakumski mizi. Postopki so vključevali pretvorbo izvirnega besedila v brajico, oblikovanje v programih, pripravo primernih oblik datotek za tisk in pa tisk. Najpomembnejši del je bil vsekakor oblikovanje, saj smo morali upoštevati standardne mere in predvideti končne rezultate. Ob vsakršni napaki bi zmanjšali berljivost besedila. Glede na rezultate smo se skupaj z naročnikom odločili za uporabo tehnologije 3D tiska, ki je kljub dolgotrajnemu procesu in zahtevnosti omogočil najboljše rezultate. Z rezultati kapljičnega tiska smo bili prav tako zadovoljni, saj so bili odtisi kakovostni in dovolj izbočeni, kar je pomenilo dobro taktilnost izdelka. Sitotisk je pri raziskavi postavljal največ izzivov, saj barva ni ekspandirala do dovoljšne mere, zaradi stiskanja materiala pri visoki temperaturi, ko smo barvo ekspandirali, pa nismo morali do potankosti ujeti skladja. Z rezultati smo bili vseeno zadovoljni, izdelek pa je v muzeju dobil uporabno funkcijo.

Title:Printing Braille
Abstract:
In thesis we tested three selected printing technologies to compare their effectiveness and quality in producing Braille subtitles with considered standards. The goal was to create tactile subtitles using 3D printing, inkjet printing, and screenprinting. In research we chose stereolithographic 3D printer using liquid photopolymer resin as filament, an UV inkjet printer, and a manual vacuum table for screenprinting. The procedures involved converting original text into Braille, designing in specialized software, preparing appropriate file formats for printing, and executing the printing process. Designing was the most important procedure, as we had to follow standard measures and predict the final results to ensure text readability. Any errors could prevent tactile legibility. Testing revealed that 3D printing, despite its long lasting procedure and complex process, delivered the highest quality results, leading to its selection by the client. Inkjet printing also got us satisfying outcomes, producing high quality and raised enough prints, which ment good tactility. Screen printing presented the greatest challenges, as the ink failed to expand as we wanted and high temperature effected material compression, which resulted in alignment failure. However, we were satisfied with the results, and the product got a useful function in the museum.
