Primerjava ameriških in evropskih standardov za električno varnost industrijskih strojev

Diplomsko delo obravnava področje standardov, ki so temelj za zagotavljanje varnih in kvalitetnih izdelkov ter storitev. Cilji temeljijo na adaptacijskem projektnem delu podjetja, ki zahteva prilagoditev sistema zasnovanega za evropski trg, z ameriškimi standardi. Glavni cilj dela je primerjava dveh ekvivalentnih varnostnih standardov električne opreme strojev, ameriškega ANSI/NFPA 79 (2024) z evropskim SIST EN 60204-1:2018. Primerjava, izvedena po poglavjih, izpostavi tehnična in konceptualna odstopanja standarda NFPA 79, ki so ključna za adaptacijo sistema. Rezultati nakazujejo tudi na določene razlike v pristopih, predvsem na področju zaščite porabnikov in vodnikov ter večjem poudarku na motorjih in motorskih aplikacijah. Izsledki diplomskega dela podajo okvirno razumevanje ključnih razlik med standardoma, ki olajšajo razumevanje, aplikacijo in nadaljnjo obravnavo referenčnih standardov.

• Title: Comparison of American and European Standards for Electrical Safety of Industrial Machinery

Abstract

The thesis deals with the field of standards which are basis for ensuring safe and quality products and services. Goals are based on project adaptation of the company. It demands adjustment of the system designed for European market with American standards. Main goal of the thesis is comparison of two equivalent safety standards for electrical equipment of machines, American ANSI/NFPA 79 (2024) and European SIST EN 60204-1:2018. Comparison done by titles highlights technical and conceptual discrepancies of NFPA 79 that are crucial for adaptation of the system. Results also show specific differences in approaches, especially in the field of load and conductor protection and emphasis on motors and motor applications. Comparison results give rough understanding essential differences in the standards which facilitate understanding, application and further consideration of reference standards.
