This thesis presents the design, development, and implementation of Dumpatron,
a tool for the backup and restoration of databases, supporting Oracle,
MySQL, and MariaDB systems. The main goal is to simplify complex backup
procedures and provide a reliable and user-friendly solution for disaster recovery
scenarios. The tool is built with both graphical and command-line
interfaces, offering scheduling capabilities, notifications, and easy configuration.
The thesis explores different export and import strategies, metadata
handling, and secure backup management. The final result is a portable
and efficient solution for professional database environments requiring consistency,
reliability, and simplicity in backup operations.
