Low equilibrium conversion in carbon dioxide hydrogenation reaction is countered with
product condensation and CO$_2$ and H$_2$ recycling. This leads to great energy demand in
industrial production of methanol. One promising modern alternative is in situ sorption
of gaseous products using liquid sorbents. In this research I will demonstrate adequacy of
liquid sorbents and test their sorption properties. So far, the ionic solution of Li[NTf$_2$] in
[P$_{1444}$][NTf$_2$] has shown grave thermal stability results with adequate sorption and I deem
it most suitable (for the task) amongst other tested liquid sorbents.
