Abstract
V diplomski nalogi je predstavljena sinteza ternarnih kompleksov samarija, ki imajo na lantanoidni ion vezane tri piritionatne anione in še en ali dva nevtralna liganda. Postopek je temeljil na zaporedni vezavi različnih ligandov. V tej večstopenjski sintezi sem najprej pripravila prekurzor iz samarijevega(III) nitrata heksahidrata in trifenilfosfin oksida (tppo). Sintetiziran prekurzor sem uporabila v reakciji s piritionom in natrijevim metoksidom. V končni stopnji sem želela zamenjati preostali dve molekuli trifenilfosfin oksida z močnejšim, bidentatno vezanim ligandom 1,10-fenantrolinom (phen). Končni kompleks sem karakterizirala z jedrsko magnetno resonanco (NMR), masno spektrometrijo, CHN elementno analizo in IR spektroskopijo.

Title:Synthesis of ternary complexes of selected lanthanides and pyrithione
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis was to synthesize a ternary samarium complexes in which three pyrithionate anions are coordinated to the lanthanide ion, together with one or two neutral ligands. The procedure was based on the sequential binding of the different ligands. In this multi-step stythesis, first a precursor was prepared from samarium(III) nitrate hexahydrate and triphenylphosphine oxide (tppo). The synthesized product was then used in a reaction with pyrithione and sodium metoxide. In the final step, I wanted to replace the remaining two molecules of triphenylphosphine oxide with a stronger, bidentately bound ligand, 1,10-phenanthroline (phen). Final complex was characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), mass spectrometry, CHN elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy.
