Abstract
Magistrsko delo raziskuje profesionalizacijo umetnostne terapije tako v slovenskem kot mednarodnem kontekstu. Avtorica pokaže na pomembnost profesionalizacije poklica umetnostnega terapevta, kar zahteva usklajevanje standardov izobraževanja in praks, ki se izvajajo v različnih državah. V Sloveniji je poklic »umetnostni terapevt« sicer statistično priznan, vendar pa ni sistematiziran in reguliran s strani države. V strokovnih krogih se kažejo razlike tudi pri uporabi terminov, kot sta na primer »umetnostna terapija« in »umetnostna psihoterapija«. Ugotovitve kažejo, da je potrebna večja jasnost in standardizacija terminologije, kar bo prispevalo k večjemu prepoznavanju in legitimnosti poklica umetnostnega terapevta in strokovnjaka za pomoč z umetnostjo. Strokovna združenja igrajo najpomembnejšo vlogo pri profesionalizaciji te discipline, kar vključuje široko podporo izobraževalnim in raziskovalnim iniciativam ter spodbujanje etičnih standardov in kakovosti izvedbe terapevtskih programov. V državah z urejenim sistemom registracije poklic umetnostnega terapevta temelji na povezavi med zakonodajo, izobraževanjem in strokovnimi združenji. Ponekod registracijo prevzemajo strokovna združenja, ki nadomeščajo neobstoječo ali pomanjkljivo zakonsko regulacijo z internimi postopki certificiranja. V slovenskem kontekstu že obstoječe raziskave potrjujejo izrazito potrebo po ureditvi področja. Kljub oviram pa strokovnjaki aktivno izvajajo delavnice in si prizadevajo za večjo prisotnost v medijih in sistemu, kar kaže na vztrajnost in pomen njihovega dela. Rezultati raziskave ponujajo dragocene vpoglede in primere dobre prakse iz tujine, ki lahko prispevajo k izboljšanju zaposljivosti in prepoznavnosti poklica »umetnostni terapevt« v Sloveniji.

Title:Multimodality of arts therapy and the professionalisation ofarts therapy in the selected countries
Abstract:
The master's thesis examines the professionalization of arts therapy in both Slovenian and international contexts. It emphasizes the need to professionalize the arts therapists' role by aligning educational standards and practices across countries. In Slovenia, while the "arts therapist" profession is statistically recognized, it lacks state regulation and systematization. There are also terminological differences in professional circles, such as between "arts therapy" and "arts psychotherapy." The study suggests that clearer and standardized terminology is essential for enhancing the recognition and legitimacy of artss therapists and arts-based support specialists. Professional associations are crucial in this professionalization process, supporting educational and research initiatives and promoting ethical standards and quality in therapeutic programs. In countries with regulated registration systems, the art therapist profession is supported by legislation, education, and professional associations. In some countries, registration is handled by professional associations, which replace non-existent or inadequate legal regulations with internal certification procedures. In Slovenia, research highlights urgent need for regulation. Despite challenges, therapists conduct workshops and seek greater media and systemic presence, showcasing their dedication and the significance of their work. The research provides valuable insights and examples of good practice from abroad, which can contribute to improving the employability and recognition of the profession of "arts therapist" in Slovenia.
