In this thesis, we investigated a nonuniform bending of truss structures caused by local buckling of individual trusses within the system. Using the ANSYS software and nonlinear analysis, we examined several geometric configurations of 2D truss models, all designed with the same mass and overall dimensions. The purpose of the analysis is to determine good arrangement of trusses that allows the structure to carry the greatest possible load. The main objective is to gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between local buckling of individual members and the global stability of the entire structure. The numerical results obtained from simulations were compared with an experimental truss model, which was fabricated using 3D printing technology.
