The thesis explores standard operating procedures, their significance in aviation and their impact on operator operations. Using existing manuals from Adria Airways and Airbus, it explains the reasons behind the development of certain procedures and their real influence on flight operations.
The methodology employed covers a comparative analysis of the Operations Manual part B, written by the employees of Adria Airways and the Flight Crew Operating Manual, authored
by Airbus. The difference between these manuals illustrates how our operator adapts to local operations and attempts to enhance safety and efficieny.
In conclusion, we found and demonstrated on the actual case, how immensely important it is to follow documented standard operating procedures for executing operations, as well as
understanding when blind adherence to these procedures, without critical assessment and situational awareness, can lead to accidents.
