Abstract
Diplomsko delo je zasnovano kot vpogled v literaturo z namenom, da bralcu predstavi elektronska vezja, izdelana z aditivnimi tehnologijami (AME), ter podrobneje opiše delovanje in uporabo sistema Nordson PICO Pµlse in PICO Toµch. Cilj naloge je zagotoviti celovit vpogled v področje sodobnih aditivnih pristopov za gradnjo vezij in praktično razumevanje strojne opreme, ki omogoča njihovo izvajanje. V prvem delu so predstavljene klasične metode izdelave elektronskih vezij z odvzemanjem materiala, kot so kemijsko jedkanje, mehansko rezkanje in laserska ablacija, ter njihove omejitve. Temu sledi pregled aditivnih metod, ki so metode z dodajanjem materiala, pri čemer so obravnavani materiali, parametri nanosa in postopki sintranja, ki vplivajo na kakovost elektronskih struktur. Podrobneje so opisane različne tehnologije nanašanja materialov, vključno s piezoelektričnim brizganjem, aerosolnim brizganjem, toplotnim inkjet tiskanjem, 3D nanašanjem, sitotiskom, pršenjem in hibridnimi postopki, s poudarkom na njihovih značilnostih, prednostih in omejitvah. Osrednji del naloge je namenjen piezoelektričnemu brizganju, kjer so razloženi princip delovanja, procesni parametri in vpliv teh parametrov na velikost, stabilnost in ponovljivost kapljic. Posebna pozornost je namenjena sistemu Nordson PICO Pµlse in PICO Toµch. Podrobno je opisan uporabniški vmesnik krmilnika, nastavitve parametrov ter različni načini krmiljenja, ki omogočajo prilagodljivost sistema za različne aplikacije. V zaključku je predstavljena praktična uporaba sistema, kjer so obravnavani postopki priprave in zagona, omejitve pri uporabi z različnimi tekočinami, zahteve glede vzdrževanja ter pomen čiščenja po uporabi. Opisano je tudi, kako pravilno ravnanje z opremo zagotavlja zanesljivo delovanje in dolgo življenjsko dobo sistema. Naloga tako združuje pregled teoretičnih osnov AME in podroben opis praktične uporabe Nordsonovega sistema ter bralcu omogoča razumevanje tehnologije in pripravo na njeno uporabo v praksi.

Title:Additive deposition of material by piezo jetting
Abstract:
The thesis is conceived as an overview of the literature with the aim of introducing the reader to electronic circuits manufactured using additive technologies (AME) and providing a detailed description of the operation and application of the Nordson PICO Pµlse and PICO Toµch system. The objective of the work is to offer a comprehensive insight into the field of modern additive approaches and a practical understanding of the hardware that enables their implementation. The first part presents classical subtractive methods for fabricating electronic circuits, such as chemical etching, mechanical milling, and laser ablation, along with their limitations. This is followed by a review of additive methods, addressing materials, deposition parameters, and sintering processes that influence the quality of electronic structures. Various deposition technologies are described in more detail, including piezoelectric jetting, aerosol jetting, thermal inkjet printing, 3D dispensing, screen printing, spraying, and hybrid processes, with an emphasis on their characteristics, advantages, and limitations. The central part of the thesis focuses on piezoelectric jetting, explaining the operating principle, process parameters, and the effect of these parameters on droplet size, stability, and repeatability. Particular attention is devoted to the Nordson PICO Pµlse and PICO Toµch system. The user interface of the controller, parameter settings, and different control modes are described in detail, demonstrating the flexibility of the system for various applications. The conclusion addresses the practical use of the system, covering preparation and start-up procedures, limitations when working with different fluids, maintenance requirements, and the importance of cleaning after use. It also describes how proper handling of the equipment ensures reliable operation and a long service life. Thus, the thesis combines a review of the theoretical foundations of AME with a detailed description of the practical use of the Nordson system, providing the reader with both an understanding of the technology and preparation for its practical application.
