Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava pojav ruskih dezinformacij v Sloveniji. Izhodišče raziskave je ugotovitev, da so dezinformacije postale pomembno orodje zunanjepolitičnega vpliva in predstavljajo resen izziv za slovensko družbo in medije. Glavni cilji naloge so prepoznati prisotnost in značilnosti ruskih dezinformacij v slovenskem prostoru, analizirati ključne narative in akterje ter oceniti odzive institucij in civilne družbe. V empiričnem delu so bili uporabljeni strukturirani strokovni intervjuji, ki omogočajo zbiranje in primerjavo mnenj izbranih strokovnjakov z različnih področij, povezanih z dezinformacijami.

Title:Russian disinformation in Slovenia
Abstract:
The master thesis deals with the phenomenon of Russian disinformation in Slovenia. The starting point of the research is the finding that disinformation has become an important tool of foreign policy influence and presents a serious challenge for Slovenian society and its media. The main objectives of the thesis are to identify the presence and characteristics of Russian disinformation in Slovenia, analyse the key narratives and actors, and assess the responses of institutions and civil society. In the empirical part, structured expert interviews were used, which enable the collection and comparison of the opinions of selected experts from various fields related to disinformation. Through several rounds of structured questionnaires, the main challenges, ways of identifying disinformation and suggestions for more effective action were identified. Key findings show that Russian disinformation in Slovenia is most prevalent on social media, where it often exploits existing social divisions and mistrust in institutions. It has been established that the response of Slovenian institutions and civil society is still insufficient, thus, in order to increase resilience against Russian disinformation, it is essential to strengthen media literacy and cooperation between different actors, as well as to develop strategies to identify and limit the impact of disinformation.
