Abstract
Delo prispeva k boljšemu razumevanju vsakdanjih praks mobilnosti in zaznavanja prostora v javnem prevozu.

Title:Interregional Bus: A Sensory-Anthropological Perspective on Space and Relationships within it
Abstract:
This thesis examines the sensory experience of passengers on the intercity bus route between Kranj and Ljubljana from the perspective of sensory anthropology and the anthropology of space. The author examines how various senses influence the perception of the bus environment and how this affects feelings of comfort, privacy, and safety. Based on field observations and interviews, the study finds that passengers share common values—functionality, comfort, privacy, and safety—which intertwine and influence the overall quality of the experience. In this context, the bus emerges as a “non-place” (Augé), where individuals establish personal space and limit interaction with others. Passengers can be defined as an “assemblage,” although aspects of community may arise in exceptional situations. The work contributes to a deeper understanding of everyday mobility practices and spatial perception in public transport.
