The thesis addresses the issue of setting TIG welding parameters for heaters integrated into glow plugs used in diesel engines. Since these are critical components that must operate reliably under demanding conditions, both weld quality and the functional characteristics of the glow plugs are of high importance. In the production process various combinations of resistors and tubes (assemblies) are used, and due to the sensitivity of the heaters to changes in TIG welding parameters, a high rejection rate often occurs. Reducing this rejection rate could be achieved by narrowing down the range of welding parameters. The thesis focuses on optimizing a range of TIG welding parameters suitable for a wide variety of assemblies. The goal was to define a window of welding parameters that ensures stable and high-quality welds, thus providing reliable heater performance and reducing scrap in mass production. The results showed that a welding current between 60 and 70 A with a welding time of 0.15 s results in good heater characteristics and significantly reduces the rejection rate.
