Abstract
V okviru diplomske naloge smo obravnavali problematiko nastavitve parametrov varjenja TIG grelcev, vgrajenih v grelne svečke za dizelske motorje. Ker gre za ključne komponente, ki morajo delovati zanesljivo tudi v zahtevnih pogojih, sta kakovost vara in ustrezno delovanje grelne svečke izjemnega pomena. V proizvodnem procesu se uporablja več različnih kombinacij uporov in cevk (sestavov), pri čemer zaradi občutljivosti grelcev na spremembe parametrov TIG pogosto prihaja do povečane stopnje izmeta. Zmanjšanje izmeta bi bilo mogoče doseči z zožitvijo območja varilnih parametrov. V diplomski nalogi smo se osredotočili v optimizacijo območja parametrov TIG, ki bi bili ustrezni za čim širši nabor različnih sestavov. Cilj je bil določiti takšno območje varilnih parametrov, ki omogoča stabilno in kakovostno varjenje, s čimer bi zagotovili ustrezne karakteristike grelcev ter hkrati zmanjšali količino izmeta v serijski proizvodnji. Rezultati so pokazali, da jakost varilnega toka med 60 in 70 A pri času varjenja 0,15 s zagotavlja ustrezne lastnosti grelcev ter prispeva k zmanjšanju izmeta.

Title:Determination of optimal TIG welding parameters for glow plug heaters in diesel engines
Abstract:
The thesis addresses the issue of setting TIG welding parameters for heaters integrated into glow plugs used in diesel engines. Since these are critical components that must operate reliably under demanding conditions, both weld quality and the functional characteristics of the glow plugs are of high importance. In the production process various combinations of resistors and tubes (assemblies) are used, and due to the sensitivity of the heaters to changes in TIG welding parameters, a high rejection rate often occurs. Reducing this rejection rate could be achieved by narrowing down the range of welding parameters. The thesis focuses on optimizing a range of TIG welding parameters suitable for a wide variety of assemblies. The goal was to define a window of welding parameters that ensures stable and high-quality welds, thus providing reliable heater performance and reducing scrap in mass production. The results showed that a welding current between 60 and 70 A with a welding time of 0.15 s results in good heater characteristics and significantly reduces the rejection rate.
