Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava porast kibernetskih groženj in primanjkljaj praktičnih kompetenc na področju kibernetske varnosti. Kot odgovor na to problematiko se ponuja koncept kibernetskega vadbišča kot odlična priložnost za usposabljanja strokovnjakov na različnih področjih in testiranje zmogljivosti kibernetske varnosti. Na podlagi pregleda obstoječih rešitev in arhitektur pripravim zasnovo lastnega kibernetskega vadbišča, ki ga s pomočjo odprtokodnih tehnologij implementiram na laboratorijski infrastrukturi. Dosežem razširljivo testno okolje za raziskovanje kibernetske varnosti v varnem okolju in za izvajanje usposabljanj. Učinkovitost in uporabnost ovrednotimo z meritvami delovanja ter s validacijo v izobraževalnem in raziskovalnem kontekstu. Rezultati potrjujejo izvedljivost in razširljivost rešitve ter nakažejo nadaljnje razširitve in razvoj na področju avtomatizacije, orkestracije, scenarijev in integracije z učnimi sistemi.

Title:Design and Development of a Cyber Range
Abstract:
This study addresses the growth of cyber threats and the shortage of cybersecurity skills. It positions the cyber range as a practical option for training and cyber capability testing. Building on a review of existing solutions and architectures, a modular cyber range is designed and implemented on on-premise infrastructure with predominantly open-source technologies. The result is a scalable and secure testbed for cybersecurity research and education, providing centralized access, network segmentation, and repeatable scenarios. Effectiveness and utility are assessed through performance measurements and evaluations in educational and research contexts. Findings confirm feasibility and scalability and indicate future work in automation, scenario orchestration, and integration with learning systems.
