Abstract

Title:E-bike charging station based on ESP32 with supported OCPP protocol
Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis is to create a prototype of a charging station for electric bicycles with three connectors, behind which there is a central control system. All the necessary hardware and software to achieve the desired functionalities of the charging station is listed. The following describes the implementation, configuration, and startup of the backend OCPP server that will manage the data of our electric charging station. The design of the client is also presented, which is responsible for communication with the server via the OCPP and Websocket protocol and manages the charging station hardware. The text also briefly describes the resolution of the problem of network connection via a Ethernet and the shortcomings of the proposed network adapter. At the end, there is an explanation of the basic operation of the software code and a presentation of the measurement results when testing the battery charging of a home electric bike.
