Abstract

Title:The Impact of Electric Vehicles on the Electric Power Network Loading
Abstract:
This thesis analyzes the impact of electric vehicle (EV) charging on load and voltage conditions in the Slovenian transmission power grid. Using an existing network model and the Pandapower library, simulations were carried out for three scenarios: without EV charging, with all identified charging stations in operation, and with a doubled number of charging stations. The analysis showed that, under the current number of charging stations, load levels mostly remain within permissible limits. However, certain transmission lines and substations exhibited critical values. The results indicate that the impact of EV charging is unevenly distributed across Slovenia, highlighting the need for targeted grid upgrades and the implementation of operational optimization measures.
