The thesis addresses the issue of landslides caused by natural or human factors and their remeditaion.Various types of landslides are described, such as rockfalls, slumps, mudflows, and debris flows, which threaten lives and infrastructure. Special emphasis is placed on the role of water, which affects the stability of slopes through rainfall, groundwater and erosion. Immediate response meassures and long-term solutions for preventing landslides are presented, such as drainage systems and the construction of retaining walls. Based on three case histories from Slovenia, the thesis demonstrates efficient responses and long term remediation on affected areas.
