Abstract
Naraščajoča radovednost in uporaba magnetne levitacije odpirata številna še neraziskana vprašanja. Eno izmed njih je bilo, kako bi se sistem obnašal, če bi zrak zamenjali z bolj viskoznim medijem. S testiranjem PID krmiljenja pozicije lebdečega permanentnega magneta v zraku, vodi in olju smo opazovali razlike v stabilnosti, nihanju in natančnosti. Večja viskoznost se je izkazala kot dejavnik, ki poveča stabilnost in zmanjša občutljivost sistema.

Title:Influence of medium viscosity on the selection of PID parameters of the magnet position controller in the magnetic levitation process
Abstract:
The rising curiosity and usage of magnetic levitation opens many questions yet to be explored. One of them was how the system would behave if air were replaced with a more viscous medium. By testing PID control of a levitating permanent magnet in air, water, and oil, we observed differences in stability, oscillation, and precision. Higher viscosity proved to increase system stability and reduce sensitivity to disturbances.
