Abstract
V zaključnem delu je predstavljena nadgradnja obstoječega sistema za krmiljenje gladine vode z implementacijo SCADA vmesnika WinCC Runtime Advanced v okolju TIA Portal. Osnovni PID krmilni program v krmilniku S7-1500 je ostal nespremenjen, nadgradnja pa je omogočila preglednejši nadzor, arhiviranje podatkov, spremljanje trendov in učinkovitejšo uporabniško izkušnjo. Metodologija vključuje opis teoretičnih osnov avtomatizacije, krmilnih sistemov in SCADA tehnologije ter praktično izvedbo integracije SCADA vmesnika v laboratorijski model. Rezultati kažejo, da WinCC Runtime Advanced v celoti zadošča za enolinijske sisteme z lokalnim dostopom, medtem ko bi za večje industrijske aplikacije z več linijami, več uporabniki in oddaljenim dostopom bila primernejša uporaba WinCC Professional. Zaključki potrjujejo, da takšna nadgradnja izboljša preglednost in nadzor procesa brez sprememb osnovne krmilne logike ter predstavlja osnovo za širitev v kompleksnejša okolja.

Title:Upgrade of a water level control system using SCADA
Abstract:
The thesis presents the upgrade of an existing water level control system with the implementation of a SCADA interface, WinCC Runtime Advanced, in the TIA Portal environment. The original PID control program in the S7-1500 PLC remained unchanged, while the upgrade enabled improved process monitoring, data archiving, trend visualization, and enhanced user experience. The methodology includes an overview of the theoretical foundations of automation, control systems, and SCADA technology, followed by the practical implementation of the SCADA interface in a laboratory model. The results show that WinCC Runtime Advanced is fully sufficient for single-line systems with local access, whereas for larger industrial applications with multiple lines, multiple operators, and remote access, the use of WinCC Professional would be a more suitable choice. The conclusions confirm that such an upgrade improves process transparency and control without altering the basic control logic and provides a solid foundation for expansion into more complex environments.
