This work analyzes the influence of different battery fixtures on the results of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements of lithium-ion batteries. Measurements were performed on both a dummy and a real battery cell using three different battery fixtures. By subtracting the impedance of the dummy cell from that of the battery cell, it was possible to assess the influence of the fixture on the measurement and simultaneously isolate the impedance of the battery cell. The results confirm that battery holders can significantly affect the impedance response, especially at higher frequencies.
