Working from home has become much more widespread since the start of the covid -19 pandemic, especially in organizations operating in a global market. Organizational culture and knowledge transfer are fundamental building blocks of efficient and effective organization. The introduction of teleworking can threaten the stability of organizational culture, often causing sudden and unforeseen changes in the internal dynamics of the organization. In my master thesis, based on a review of relevant literature, a survey, and in-depth interviews, I investigated how teleworking affects organizational culture and knowledge transfer, with a particular focus on organization x. Through an analysis of existing theoretical frameworks, definitions of organizational culture, different forms of knowledge transfer and identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the context of teleworking, I have holistically addressed the impact of teleworking on the performance of organizations. The research part of the study involved two research instruments: interviews with employees in organization x and an online survey. The data I collected was subjected to qualitative and quantitative analysis, comparing the responses of the respondents and interviewees and identifying key common themes. Based on the results, I concluded that teleworking has a significant impact on both organizational culture and the effectiveness of knowledge transfer in organization x.
