Abstract
Magistrsko diplomsko delo obravnava delovnopravne izzive, ki se, v želji po zmanjševanju neenakosti med spoloma, pojavljajo pri usklajevanju poklicnega in zasebnega življenja delavcev. V uvodnem delu so podana teoretična izhodišča ideje ravnovesja med poklicnim in zasebnim življenjem, kjer je predstavljen ustroj instituta in njegov razvoj do njegovega obsega, kot ga poznamo danes. Osrednji del naloge se z delovnopravnega vidika osredotoča na Direktivo (EU) 2019/1158 o usklajevanju poklicnega in zasebnega življenja staršev in oskrbovalcev in implementacijo le-te v slovensko nacionalno zakonodajo. Poseben poudarek je torej namenjen delovnopravnim vidikom, ki jih navedena direktiva zasleduje, in vplivu predstavljenih ukrepov na položaj delavcev, predvsem z vidika slovenskega pravnega reda. V zaključku naloge je podana analiza implementacije omenjene direktive v slovenski nacionalni pravni red, s krajšim pregledom rešitev zagotavljanja ravnovesja med poklicnim in zasebnim življenjem v praksi.

Title:Work and family culture : finding a work-life balance in the light of Directive (EU) 2019/1158
Abstract:
The master's thesis addresses the labour law challenges that arise in the context of efforts to reduce gender inequality, particularly in relation to the reconciliation of professional and private life for workers. The introductory part sets out the theoretical foundations of the concept of work-life balance, presenting the structure of the institute and its development to the extent in which it is known today. The central part of the thesis focuses, from a labour law perspective, on Directive (EU) 2019/1158 on work-life balance for parents and carers, as well as its implementation into the Slovenian national legal system. Special attention is devoted to the labour law aspects pursued by the Directive and to the impact of the proposed measures on the position of workers, with particular emphasis on the Slovenian legal order. The concluding part of the thesis provides an analysis of the implementation of the aforementioned Directive into Slovenian national law, accompanied by a brief overview of practical solutions for ensuring work-life balance.
