Abstract
Kamena volna velja za enega najpomembnejših izolacijskih materialov v gradbeništvu, saj zagotavlja dobro toplotno in zvočno izolacijo ter odlične protipožarne lastnosti. Med ključne korake njenega proizvodnega procesa sodi taljenje surovin, ki zahteva natančno regulacijo temperature, napetosti in moči. Zasnovali smo prototip elektro talilne naprave, ki posnema delovanje industrijske različice, ter preizkusili vpliv procesnih parametrov na stabilnost in učinkovitost taljenja. Ugotovili smo, da ustrezna granulacija in razmerje surovin omogočata stabilne električne pogoje, enakomerno segrevanje ter doseganje ciljnih temperatur brez sunkovitih tokovnih obremenitev.

Title:Optimization of the raw material melting process by developing an electric melting device in stone wool production
Abstract:
Stone wool is considered one of the most important insulation materials in construction, as it provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation as well as outstanding fire resistance. Among the key stages of its production process is the melting of raw materials, which requires precise control of temperature, voltage, and power. We designed a prototype of an electric melting furnace that simulates the operation of an industrial version and tested the influence of process parameters on the stability and efficiency of melting. We found that appropriate granulation and the ratio of raw materials ensure stable electrical conditions, uniform heating, and the achievement of target temperatures without sudden current load surges.
