Abstract
V diplomskem delu so predstavljeni 2H-piran-2-oni, njihova zgradba, lastnosti, biološka vloga in sintezni potencial. Poudarek je na enolončnih ("one-pot") sintezah, ki omogočajo hitro in učinkovito pripravo derivatov brez izolacije vmesnih produktov. V eksperimentalnem delu sem pripravil dva derivata 3-benzoilamino-2H-piran-2-ona iz različnih sintonov, preveril možnost odstranitve benzoilne zaščitne skupine ter uvedbo nove zaščitne skupine na prosto aminsko skupino na položaju 3. Strukture produktov sem potrdil z IR in NMR spektroskopijo ter z določitvijo tališč. Rezultati potrjujejo uporabnost izbranih metod in možnosti nadaljnje funkcionalizacije teh spojin.

Title:Synthesis and functionalization of 2H-pyran-2-one derivatives using one-pot procedures
Abstract:
This thesis presents 2H-pyran-2-ones, focusing on their structure, properties, biological relevance, and synthetic potential. Emphasis is placed on one-pot syntheses, which enable fast and efficient preparation of derivatives without isolating intermediates. In the experimental part, I synthesized two derivatives of 3-benzoylamino-2H-pyran-2-one using different synthons, examined the removal of the benzoyl protecting group, and introduced a new protecting group on the free amino group at position 3. The structures of the products were confirmed by IR and NMR spectroscopy, as well as by melting point determination. The results confirm the usefulness of the selected methods and the potential for further functionalization of these compounds.
