Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava zasnovo montažne linije in proizvodne logistike za dva modela izdelka lokomotive in ladjice. V diplomskem delu smo analizirali oba izdelka ter določili njuno strukturo.

Title:The design of assembly line and production logistics for a locomotive and ship product
Abstract:
This thesis deals with the design of an assembly line and production logistics for two product models: a locomotive and a ship. In the thesis, we analysed both products and defined their structure. Based on the designed structure, we determined the sequence of assembly operations. We analysed the existing assembly process and, considering the characteristics of the products, developed two improved concepts for the production assembly modules. Both concepts are designed according to the principle of sequential placement of the production assembly modules, but they differ in the handling and transport between the production modules. In this context, we also had to develop new positioning concepts to ensure the proper transfer of subassemblies between the modules, as well as the necessary modifications to the modules for the functional operation of the assembly lines. We performed a time analysis of basic elementary assembly operations, as well as handling and transport operations. Based on this, we determined the optimal distribution of work operations and components in storage facilities.
