The thesis presents the PFMEA methodology in connection with the development, planning, and implementation of a new production line for manufacturing air filters. It begins with a brief, step-by-step theoretical overview of the FMEA methodology, followed by a more detailed explanation of the individual stages of the analysis. In the methodological section, the general function of a filter is first introduced, followed by a classification of the different types of filters used in internal combustion engines and a presentation of their structure. After the structure of the filters is described, the manufacturing processes for both panel and round air filters are outlined. The following section presents a DFMEA analysis developed for a specific air filter that is to be produced on the aforementioned new production line. Based on the information and data obtained through the DFMEA, a PFMEA analysis is subsequently carried out. The PFMEA is presented in detail, step by step, including the rationale behind specific decisions made by the company. The conclusion of the thesis presents the results of the analysis as well as the improvements that were implemented on the production line.
