V diplomskem projektu bo po uvodnem poglavju predstavljena teorija v povezavi s skladiščenjem. Ta je potrebna za lažje razumevanje področja ter služi kot izhodišče za problematiko, ki bo obravnavana v diplomskem projektu. Opisan bo tudi pomen informacijsko komunikacijske tehnologije (IKT) ter sistema za upravljanje in vodenje skladiščnih procesov (WMS). Sledi poglavje z opisom podjetja Spintec, v katerem se bo odvijala prenova skladiščnih procesov. Poglavje za tem je namenjeno predstavitvi obstoječega stanja v skladišču. Sem sodijo videz, velikost in postavitev skladišča. Opisani bodo vsi procesi, ki se v njem odvijajo, ter predstavljene tehnologije in program, ki se uporablja za upravljanje. V petem poglavju bo izveden pregled tehnologij in načinov dela v skladišču. Tukaj se bo odločalo o uvedbi novih tehnologij in prenavljanju procesov. Zadnje, šesto poglavje, je namenjeno izvedbi analize ter ugotovitvam o uspešnosti projekta.

• Title: MODERNIZATION OF WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS AT SPINTEC LTD.

Abstract

After the introductory chapter, the thesis will present the theory in connection with warehousing. This is necessary for a better understanding of the field and serves as a starting point for the issues that will be discussed in the thesis. The importance of information and communication technology (ICT) and the Warehouse management system (WMS) will also be described. This is followed by a chapter describing the company Spintec, in which the renovation of warehouse processes will take place. The fourth chapter is intended to present the current state of the warehouse. This includes the appearance, size and layout of the warehouse. All processes that take place in it will be described, as well as technologies and program used for management will be presented. After that there will be chapter providing an overview of technologies and working methods in the warehouse. Here, decisions will be made about the introduction of new technologies and the renovation of processes. The last, sixth chapter, is intended to conduct an analysis and conclusions about the success of the project.
