Idejna zasnova revitalizacije nekdanjega območja vinske kleti PIK v Umagu

V magistrski nalogi raziskujem arhitekturni pristop k integraciji tujcev in lokalne skupnosti na primeru revitalizacije nekdanje vinske kleti PIK v Umagu. Projekt obravnava preureditev in prenovo kompleksa vinske kleti ter njene okolice z namenom ponovne aktivacije že več let zapuščenega območja in ustvarjanjem novega urbanega središča v Umagu. Naloga izpostavlja problematike urbanosti mesta Umag, soočanje države z velikim številom priseljencev, njihovo integracijo ter pomembnostjo ohranjanja industrijske arhitekturne dediščine. Cilj je ponovna vzpostavitev urbanosti Umaga, ki jo ogroža prevladujoči turizem, obenem pa ohranjanje avtentičnosti mesta in oblikovanje prostora, ki spodbuja vključujoče mestno življenje.

• Title: Case study for revitalisation of the former PIK winery site in Umag

Abstract

In my master’s thesis, I explore an architectural approach to integrating newcomers and the local community through the revitalisation of the former PIK wine cellar in Umag. The project involves the redesign and renovation of the wine cellar complex and its surroundings, aiming to reactivate an area abandoned for several years and establish a new urban center in Umag. The thesis highlights urban challenges facing Umag, the country’s response to the increasing number of immigrants, their integration, and the importance of preserving industrial architectural heritage. The objective is to restore Umag’s urban character, currently threatened by dominant tourism, while preserving the city’s authenticity and creating a space that fosters inclusive urban life.
