Abstract
Z obstoječimi in javno dostopnimi podatki ter terenskimi meritvami preverjam obstoj in značilnosti urbanega toplotnega otoka v Ljubljani.

Title:Urban planning study of the redevelopment of the area at Kongresni trg in Ljubljana : principles of planning heat-resilient cities
Abstract:
The aim of this master's thesis is to investigate how urban planning can improve the heat resilience of cities in response to rising temperatures and increasing heat stress. The study examines the mechanisms behind the formation of the urban heat island (UHI) effect and evaluates spatial and design-based mitigation strategies, using the city of Paris as a reference case study. Through the analysis of publicly available spatial data and field measurements, the presence and spatial characteristics of the UHI phenomenon in Ljubljana are assessed. Based on defined criteria, a specific urban site in Ljubljana is selected for the development of design interventions aimed at enhancing heat resilience. The outcome is a set of spatial and design guidelines for planning heat-resilient urban environments, illustrated through a site-specific proposal in the area surrounding Kongresni trg in Ljubljana.
