Muzejska četrt Bežigrad : ureditev degradiranega območja ob Parmovi ulici v Ljubljani

Magistrska naloga obravnava območje nekdanjih železniških delavnic Šiška ob Parmovi ulici v Ljubljani. Nekdaj pomembno industrijsko območje je po opustitvi parne vleke začelo propadati in je danes neurejen prostor ob robu mestnega središča. Naloga se ukvarja z obuditvijo tega zanimivega, a danes »pozabljenega« prostora. Na izbrani lokaciji v okviru naloge zasnujem bežigrajsko muzejsko četrt, ki bo vključevala Železniški muzej, izpostavo Tehniškega muzeja Slovenije, Hišo eksperimentov, muzejski park in raznolik spremljevalni mestotvorni program. Koncept Muzejske četrti Bežigrad (MČB) je zasnovan okrog osrednje podzemne povezave med Bežigradom in Šiško. Na to povezavo se navezujejo vsi muzejski objekti, ki dobijo vzdolž le-te skupno preddverje. Muzejska četrt je zasnovana kot parkovna ureditev z več muzejskimi objekti. Program Železniškega muzeja Bežigrad je umeščen v prenovljene objekte industrijske dediščine. Za Tehnični muzej Slovenije, Hišo eksperimentov in spremljevalni program pa načrtujem novo zgrajene objekte, ki sledijo geometriji obstoječih objektov.

• Title: Bežigrad museum district : redevelopment of the degraded area along Parmova street in Ljubljana

Abstract

The master’s thesis deals with the area of the former railway workshops of Šiška on Parmova Street in Ljubljana. After the abandonment of steam engine, the once important industrial area began to decline and is now an undeveloped area on the edge of the city center. The thesis deals with the revival of this, now “forgotten” area. At the selected location, within the scope of the thesis, I am designing the Bežigrad Museum Quarter, which will include the Railway Museum, a branch of the Technical Museum, the House of Experiments, a museum park, and a diverse accompanying city-building program. The concept of the Bežigrad Museum District is designed around the central underground connection between Bežigrad and Šiška. All museum buildings are connected to this connection, which will have a common lobby along it. The museum quarter is designed as a park arrangement with several museum buildings. The program of the Bežigrad Railway Museum is placed in renovated industrial heritage buildings. For the Technical Museum of Slovenia, the House of Experiments, and the accompanying program, I am planning newly built buildings that follow the geometry of the existing buildings.
