This master’s thesis will focus on narrators in the prose of various Slovenian authors who settled in Argentina after World War II. To this end, we will first examine the concept of the narrator and the phenomenon of émigré literature. Additionally, we will investigate the circumstances that led the selected literary creators to leave their homeland and settle far from their birthplace. The literary foundations of our research include the following works: Človek na obeh straneh stene by Zorko Simčič, Judeževi groši by Tone Brulc, Pij, fant, grenko pijačo! by Jože Krivec, and Cerro Shaihueque by Vojko Arko. Finally, we will analyze the works of the Argentine writer Jože Lenarčič, who, in his writings, portrays the Slovenian émigré community to which he also belonged due to his parents.
