Undergraduate thesis deals with renovation of Ljubljana Castle from the year 1962 until 1989. There have been a lot of different architects who were included in more than fifty five years long renovation, in the end they chose architectural practice Ambient for the bearer of the project. Thesis deals with designs of architects Jože Plečnik, Boris Kobe and Edo Mihevc, conservation and outline plan, made by biro Ambient, which were used for the renovation. Thesis also illuminates the question of long-lasting renovation, shows the state of the castle before the renovation and shows the problems and solutions which the architects have faced.
