Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava zadovoljstvo policistov na Policijski upravi Koper. Zadovoljstvo pri delu je pomemben dejavnik, ki neposredno vpliva na učinkovitost, predanost in psihofizično počutje zaposlenih. V policijski organizaciji, kjer so zaposleni pogosto izpostavljeni zahtevnim stresnim in nepredvidljivim situacijam, je spremljanje dejavnikov, ki vplivajo na zadovoljstvo, ključnega pomena za zagotavljanje kakovostnega dela in zdravega delovnega okolja. Tako je cilj naloge proučiti, v kolikšni meri so policisti na Policijski upravi Koper zadovoljni pri delu in kateri dejavniki in vidiki (možnost napredovanja, delovna doba, odnosi z nadrejenimi, delovni pogoji ipd.) najbolj vplivajo na zaznano zadovoljstvo. Pri tem so oblikovane tri hipoteze, ki se nanašajo na povezavo med zadovoljstvom in izbranimi dejavniki. V raziskovalnem delu je zato uporabljena kvantitativna metoda zbiranja podatkov s pomočjo strukturiranega anketnega vprašalnika. Anketirani so policisti različnih starosti, izobrazbe, delovnih izkušenj in delovnih področij. Zbrani podatki so statistično analizirani, rezultati pa opisno in grafično predstavljeni. Rezultati kažejo, da največji vpliv na zadovoljstvo policistov predstavljajo medosebni odnosi, komunikacija z nadrejenimi, možnost dodatnega usposabljanja in zaznava pravičnega obravnavanja. Ugotovljeno je, da možnost napredovanja in dolžina delovne dobe ne vplivata vedno pozitivno na zadovoljstvo, kar nakazuje na prisotnost drugih, bolj odločilnih dejavnikov. Tako je namen naloge na podlagi analize oblikovati konkretne predloge za izboljšave, kot so bolj jasna karierna pot, izboljšanje organizacijske klime, dodatna psihosocialna podpora in spodbujanje horizontalne komunikacije. Ti ukrepi lahko pomembno prispevajo k večjemu zadovoljstvu, zmanjšanju stresa in višji učinkovitosti zaposlenih v policiji.

Title:Job satisfaction of police officers at the Koper Police Directorat
Abstract:
This diploma thesis explores job satisfaction among police officers employed at the Koper Police Directorate. Job satisfaction is a key factor that directly influences employee efficiency, motivation, and overall well-being. In the police profession, where officers are regularly exposed to stressful and unpredictable situations, understanding the factors that influence job satisfaction is essential for ensuring a productive and healthy work environment. The aim of this thesis is to examine the level of job satisfaction among police officers at the Koper Police Directorate and to identify the most influential factors on job satisfaction, such as opportunities for promotion, years of service, relationships with superiors and working conditions. Three hypotheses are formed, addressing the correlation between satisfaction and the selected variables. A quantitative research method is used, with data collected through a structured questionnaire. The respondents are police officers of different ages, education levels, and work experience. The collected data are statistically analysed. Statistical analyses are conducted on the collected data and the results are presented both descriptively and graphically. The findings indicate that interpersonal relationships, communication with superiors, opportunities for additional training and the perception of fairness have the most significant impact on job satisfaction. Contrary to expectations, the possibility of promotion and length of service does not always correlate with higher satisfaction levels, suggesting that other job – related factors may play a more critical role. Based on the analysis, several practical suggestions are made to improve satisfaction among police officers. These include the development of clear career paths, improvement of organizational climate, strengthening of psychosocial support and encouragement of horizontal communication. Implementing such measures can contribute to higher job satisfaction, reduced stress levels, and greater overall efficiency within the police force.
