Interpersonal relationships at work are usually very important for our overall quality of life, because during our five-day working week, we spend more time with the people we work with than with the people we live with. Mutual trust, respect and effective communication are the basis of interpersonal relationships at work. Co-workers who build meaningful bonds not only improve communication, but also create an environment that encourages creativity, collaboration and the overall success of the company. This research investigates what factors contribute to the development of positive relationships between employees and how these relationships affect their motivation, performance, satisfaction and long-term commitment to the company. Particular focus is placed on the role of communication, as clear and open communication leads to better cooperation and reduces the possibility of misunderstandings, which in turn results in better employee satisfaction. Based on the results, the empirical part of the thesis proposes strategies to improve relationships in companies, such as better communication, further educational activities and activities to strengthen team spirit, as these initiatives can have a positive impact on employee satisfaction and productivity and, consequently, on the organisational success.
