Abstract
V magistrski nalogi proučujem vlogo strokovnjakov za skladnost znotraj organizacije, katere so njihove naloge ter kakšen nabor kompetenc morajo imeti za uspešno izvajanje dela. Ta tema je pomembna, ker se delovno mesto strokovnjaka za skladnost v Sloveniji šele razvija, vendar ima vedno večji vpliv na podjetje in razmerje moči znotraj organizacijske strukture. Za raziskavo sem pregledala obstoječo literaturo in preko treh poglobljenih polstrukturiranih intervjujev pobližje spoznala izbrani oddelek za skladnost slovenskega podjetja. Tematsko sem se osredotočila na pomen skladnosti, organizacijsko strukturo, naloge in kompetence strokovnjakov za skladnost, medoddelčno sodelovanje ter uporabo digitalnih orodij. Ugotovila sem, da je raziskovani oddelek večinoma del pravnega oddelka zaradi narave dela, vendar se vedno bolj izraža ločnica med pravnimi in nepravnimi nalogami. Naloge segajo od vzpostavitve in razvoja sistema za odkrivanje in preprečevanje pranja denarja, komunikacije z regulatorji, zbiranja osebnih in poslovnih podatkov strank ter njihovega preverjanja, izdelave ocen tveganj, spremljanja poslovanja strank do priprave politik. Strokovnjak za skladnost mora imeti širok nabor kompetenc, vključno z natančnostjo, organiziranostjo, multidisciplinarnim razmišljanjem, komunikacijskimi spretnostmi in etičnim vedenjem. Vodja mora poleg teh kompetenc imeti še dodatne vodstvene in mentorske sposobnosti ter pogum za zagovarjanje svojih stališč pred vodstvom. Strokovnjaki za skladnost uporabljajo številna digitalna orodja, ki jim pomagajo pri vsakodnevnih opravilih in omogočajo širšo perspektivo.

Title:The role of compliance professionals within an organization in Slovenia – a case study
Abstract:
I researched the role of compliance professionals within an organization, their tasks, and competencies they must possess to perform their duties successfully. This topic is important because the position of a compliance professional in Slovenia is still developing, but it has an increasing impact on the company and the balance of power within the organizational structure. For the research, I reviewed existing literature and conducted three in-depth semi-structured interviews to gain a closer understanding of the selected compliance department of a Slovenian company. I focused on the importance of compliance itself, organizational structure, tasks and competencies of compliance professionals, interdepartmental collaboration, and the use of digital tools. My findings are that the researched department is currently considered part of the legal department due to the nature of its work, but there is an increasing distinction between legal and non-legal tasks. The tasks range from establishing and developing a system for detecting and preventing money laundering, communicating with regulators, collecting and verifying personal and business data of clients, making risk assessments, monitoring client operations, to policy preparation. A compliance professional must have a wide range of competencies, including precision, organizational skills, multidisciplinary thinking, communication skills, and ethical behavior. In addition to these competencies, the leader must have additional leadership and mentoring skills and the courage to defend their positions before the management. Compliance professionals also use several digital tools that help them with daily tasks and provide a broader perspective.
