Abstract

Title:Cooperative games for young children in athletics
Abstract:
The aim of this master thesis is to present the development of children in the areas of motor, physical, emotional, social and cognitive development in middle and late childhood. The thesis aims to highlight the importance of cooperation and collaborative learning in sport and to offer a selection of cooperative games for children in athletics. The work is aimed towards both teachers and coaches who want to incorporate elements of cooperation and teamwork into their activities while developing children's physical and cognitive skills. The games are designed to encourage physical activity, develop cooperative competence and allow children to learn basic sporting skills through play. Each game has clearly defined objectives, the required equipment, the space needed to play, the number of participants, the intensity of the game and possible variations. With this master’s thesis, we wanted to contribute to a better understanding and more frequent use of cooperative approaches in sport and highlight their importance for the holistic development of children in early and late childhood.
