Abstract
Bogat pokopališki opus profesorja Dušana Ogrina je v magistrski nalogi dobil prvo podrobnejšo analizo, saj do sedaj njegovi projekti pokopališč še niso bili sistematično zbrani, preučeni in javno predstavljeni. Namen naloge je ovrednotiti pokopališki opus Dušana Ogrina in določiti njegov značilni prepoznavni oblikovalski jezik, s poudarkom na podrobnejši analizi izvedenih pokopališč. Metoda dela temelji na sistematičnem zbiranju in pregledu do sedaj še neraziskanega gradiva in oblikovanju analiz, ki naj pomagajo objektivno ovrednotiti uspešnost Ogrinovih pokopaliških zasnov in določiti njegov značilni slog. Glavna osnova za izdelavo splošne in podrobne analize izhaja iz Ogrinovih lastnih teoretskih izhodišč, ki jih je oblikoval tako z načrtovalskim delom kot v dolgoletni pedagoški praksi, zlasti pri poučevanju teorije krajinske arhitekture načrtovanja krajinskih ureditev. Ta izhodišča so v nalogi preoblikovana v merila, ki so predstavljena v dveh obrazcih. Uporabljena je tudi metoda primerjav pokopaliških zasnov, kar vodi do kategorizacije v tri prepoznavne skupine. Izvedena je primerjava pokopališč z deli Ogrinovih sodobnikov iz tujine, saj se je glede na nekatere ugotovljene podobnosti predvidoma zgledoval po primerih pokopališč gozdnega, tratnega in parkovnega tipa. Značilen oblikovalski jezik določajo prepoznavni in pogosto ponavljajoči se vegetacijski in drugi oblikovni elementi v določenih kombinacijah. Naloga je preučevala razmerja med volumni in ploskvami in druge oblikovne prvine, po katerih lahko identificiramo Ogrinov prepoznavni slog. Kako je Ogrin upošteval svoja lastna teoretska izhodišča, je preverjeno na primeru štirih izvedenih pokopališč. Naloga prikaže tudi, kako so se zasnove skozi čas spreminjale in vraščale v prostor, med njimi pa glede na rezultate analiz upravičeno najbolj izstopa večkrat nagrajeno pokopališče Srebrniče v Novem mestu.

Title:
Cemeteries by Dušan Ogrin
Abstract:
The Master's thesis analyses the rich oeuvre of Professor Dušan Ogrin in the field of cemetery design, as his cemetery projects have not yet been systematically collected, studied and publicly presented. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate Dušan Ogrin’s cemetery work and identify his distinctive and recognizable design language, with an emphasis on an in-depth analysis of the cemetery layouts implemented. The method of the thesis is based on a systematic collection and review of the yet unstudied material, supplemented by the analyses that should help objectively evaluate the success of Ogrin's cemetery designs and to determine his characteristic style. The main basis for the general and more detailed analysis is drawn from Ogrin’s own theoretical foundations, which he formed both in his design work and over decades of teaching practice, in particular in the teaching of landscape architecture theory as well as in the teaching of design. These foundations have been translated into criteria, and structured into two evaluation forms. Additionally, a comparative method is employed to analyse various cemetery designs, leading to a categorization into three identifieable groups. The analysis also includes comparisons with the works of Ogrin's contemporaries from abroad, as certain similarities suggest that Ogrin may have been inspired by cemetery types characterized by woodland, meadow and park-like settings. His distinctive design language is defined by recognisable and frequently recurring vegetative and other design elements in particular combinations. The thesis examinins the relationship between volumes, surfaces, and other formal features that distinctly indicate his style. The extent to which Ogrin followed his own theoretical starting points is verified through the analysis of four implemented cemetery projects. The analyses also illustrate how these designs have evolved and integrated with their environments over time. Among these projects, according to the results of the analyses, the multiple-award-winning Srebrniče cemetery notably stands out.
