The thesis presents the design and production of the authorial magazine Vsi mi, ljudje. In the theoretical part, the magazine is introduced as a medium that still holds significance in modern society. Different types of magazines and their characteristics are described. The thesis then provides a detailed explanation of graphic design and the design aspects related to magazines. The format, composition, and typography, which influence readability and visual appearance, are presented. The thesis examines both internal and external design elements, such as layout grids, visual hierarchy, and cover design, which is a key element in attracting readers. Additionally, the layout of internal pages, photography, illustration, and pagination are thoroughly explained. The printing process of the magazine is then introduced, marking the final step in the magazine’s production. In the experimental part, the initial concept of the magazine is described, followed by an overview of its content. The target audience is defined, and the process of creating the authorial magazine is thoroughly explained. The production process includes a description of steps, such as content selection, defining the design concept, magazine format, layout preparation, grid structure, typography presentation, and an overview of the color palette, photography, illustration, cover design, and magazine preparation for print. In the results and discussion section, challenges encountered throughout the magazine design process are analysed, along with proposed solutions. The final product and its visual impact are also reflected upon.
