The diploma thesis examines an FCL import process from PRC using a selected logistics firm as a case study. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate, through a practical example, how modern approaches can improve the company's logistics efficiency while increasing customer and employee satisfaction. The importance of a good organisational structure within the company is emphasised, as it ensures the smooth flow of complex logistics procedures. The thesis provides a detailed description of the import process, from the initial customer enquiry to the final delivery of goods. Suggestions are made for the optimisation of work processes on the basis of analysis, comparisons and the application of methods such as benchmarking and the 20 keys system.
