Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava raziskavo prekomerne obrabe radialnega grednega tesnila na elektromotorju, ki smo jo zaznali po prvih validacijskih preskušanjih na prototipih. V začetni fazi smo s pregledom literature preučevali podobne primere iz industrije z namenom identifikacije možnih vzrokov za tovrstne napake. Kmalu smo ugotovili, da bo za podrobnejšo analizo potrebna izvedba dodatnih preskušanj in meritev. Na podlagi pregleda in ugotovitev iz literature smo oblikovali načrt preskusov, s katerimi smo sistematično raziskovali potencialne vzroke za prekomerno obrabo. Dodatno so predstavljene izvedene preiskave, pridobljeni rezultati, ključne ugotovitve in ukrepi s katerimi smo prekomerno obrabo učinkovito odpravili.

Title:Experimental investigation of excessive wear of the radial shaft seal in an electric motor
Abstract:
This master's thesis investigates the issue of excessive wear of the radial shaft seal in an electric motor, which was detected during first validation tests performed on prototype samples. In the early stages of the study, a literature review was conducted to examine similar cases from industry with the aim of identifying potential causes of such failures. It soon became evident that a more detailed analysis would require additional testing and measurements. Based on the literature review and its findings, a testing plan was developed to systematically investigate the possible causes of excessive wear. Furthermore, the thesis presents the conducted tests, obtained results, key findings, and the corrective measures implemented to effectively eliminate excessive wear on the radial shaft seal.
