Many companies have maintained remote work as one of the possible forms of work after the pandemic. The changes required by the transformation of work itself posed a great challenge also in the field of human resource management. The purpose of the master's thesis is to gain insight into the role that HR experts have taken on in the implementation of flexible forms of work. Seventeen interviews were conducted in ten different companies, involving both HR professionals and employees who utilize remote work. The empirical part focuses on job design, ensuring employee well-being, characteristics of remote work and the contribution of human resource management to the successful performance of remote work. The other part of the task presents research on the transformation process of work itself. The results show that HR professionals can greatly contribute to the success of the transformation process through involvement, coordination and mentoring, and that remote work is a favorable solution for both employers and employees. Employees are generally satisfied with the transformed mode, but there is a need for management's receptiveness to remote work and support in the form of providing appropriate equipment and greater benefits. The results show the possibility of improvements that address HR professionals is to unify certain aspects both at the company level and in remote work. At the same time, the results also suggest the importance of measuring commitment, where we can observe significant differences between individual generations.
