The interviews present data from a study with Slovene language teachers in Slovene primary and secondary schools regarding their experiences, needs, and preferences in using digital tools for linguistic proofreading and editing in Slovene language instruction. The study involved 18 participants. The structured interviews are based on questionnaires: in Questionnaire 1, we ask for their opinions and experiences with existing digital correction tools (prior to the questionnaire, they corrected two paragraphs from authentic school texts in Microsoft Word) as well as their evaluation of the visualization of corrections and the overall functionality that could potentially optimize correction and feedback provision in a digital environment; Questionnaire 2 explores their views on the testing version of a machine correction tool for school use, which is under development (prior to the questionnaire, they evaluated the automatic corrections generated by the tool that were presented to them in a simple user interface), their assessment of the potential of digital support for long-term monitoring and improvement of language competencies, and their opinions on the effects of generative artificial intelligence on literacy and learning objectives in general.
The results of the study are presented in the paper ARHAR HOLDT, Špela, MUNDA, Tina. Jezikovno popravljanje v digitalnem okolju : kvalitativna študija z učiteljicami in učitelji slovenščine. Sodobna pedagogika, okt. 2025, letn. 76 = 142, št. 3, str. 86-106, DOI: 10.63384/sptB53s791s.
