Abstract

Title:Analysis of self-sufficiency with renewable energy sources and battery
Abstract:
The main topic of the thesis is the analysis of renewable energy self-supply with a focus on the use of solar energy and battery systems. Self-sufficiency in electricity production is becoming increasingly important due to the growing need for sustainable energy sources and the reduction of dependence on fossil fuels. The aim of the research was to find out how to efficiently design a system that allows independence from the grid and at the same time ensures a stable supply of electricity. Key factors such as solar radiation, photovoltaic panel efficiency and battery system characteristics were analysed. Excel with VBA was used to accurately process data on the energy generated and consumed. The modelling allowed us to assess how different parameters such as the size of the solar plant, the capacity of the batteries and seasonal variations affect the achievement of energy independence. The results showed that full self-sufficiency is only possible with careful system planning and optimisation, where the correct choice of components and the adjustment of energy consumption according to the available production are crucial. This work provides insights into the practical challenges and solutions for establishing an efficient self-supply system. As technologies continue to develop and the efficiency of batteries and solar cells improves, it is expected that self-sustainable electricity generation will become even more affordable and economically viable. This research contributes to a better understanding of the key parameters for optimising sustainable energy systems.
