Abstract
V diplomski nalogi smo raziskovali svet 3D modeliranja, specifično modeliranje objektov za računalniške igre. V teoretičnem delu smo podrobneje raziskali področje računalniških iger, še posebej 3D iger. Opisali smo tudi osnove 3D modeliranja, od različnih tehnik modeliranja do osnovnih operacij. V eksperimentalnem delu smo podrobneje predstavili igro The Sims 4 ter pomen in uporabo uporabnikovih vsebin. Namen diplomskega dela je bilo ustvariti uporabnikove vsebine za igro in se podrobno seznaniti s celotnim procesom. S pomočjo programov Blender, Adobe Photoshop in Sims 4 Studio smo 3D modelirali, teksturirali in dodali funkcionalnost kosom pohištva, ki smo jih oblikovali. Poligonsko smo modelirali pohištvo, ki smo mu v programu tudi določili materiale. Teksture materialov smo kasneje urejali v urejevalniku slik. Za izdelavo datotek z objekti, ki smo jih vključili v igro, smo uporabljali za to posebno programsko opremo. Pri pregledu rezultatov smo videli napredek med prvimi izdelanimi objekti ter zadnjimi. Z večino objektov smo bili zelo zadovoljni, na nekaterih objektih pa se še vedno pojavljajo težave, največkrat povezane s svetlobo. Prav tako so nam drugi igralci podali povratne informacije, kateri elementi so jim bili všeč, ter napake in izboljšave, ki so jih zaznali. Končni izdelek je enajst kosov pohištva.

Title:Designing Virtual Home for: Custom Content Development for The Sims 4
Abstract:
In this diploma, we researched the world of 3D modeling, more specifically modeling assets for computer games. In the theoretical part, we explored the field of computer games, particularly 3D games. We also described the basics of 3D modeling, covering various modeling techniques and essential operations. In the experimental part, we presented the game The Sims 4 in detail, as well as the meaning and use of custom content. The purpose of this diploma was to create custom content for the game and to become acquainted with the entire process in detail. Utilizing programs, such as Blender, Adobe Photoshop, and Sims 4 Studio, we 3D modeled, textured, and added functionality to the pieces of furniture we designed. First, we modeled the furniture using polygonal modeling, and then, we textured the materials in the program. Later, we edited textures in an image editor. We used special software to create files with objects that we included in the game later. In reviewing the results, we noticed the progress made between the first objects we created and the last ones. We were satisfied with the results, although some objects still had mistakes, most often related to lighting. Other players also provided feedback, explaining which items they liked and mentioning bugs or improvements that could be addressed. The final product of this diploma consists of 11 pieces of furniture.
