Abstract
V magistrskem delu je predstavljen razvoj asistenčne naprave, zasnovane za izboljšanje kakovosti življenja starejših oseb, še posebej tistih z demenco. Naprava, poimenovana TIKA, trenutno združuje funkcionalnosti glasovne asistence in prostorske lokalizacije. Podpira tehnologije, kot so (angl. Bluetooth® Low Energy - BLE), (angl. ultra-wideband - UWB), (angl. global positioning system - GPS) in povezljivost z LTE omrežjem, s pomočjo katerih omogoča zaznavo prisotnosti, sledenje gibanju ter glasovno interakcijo prek predvajanih zvočnih sporočil, ki jih predhodno posnamejo svojci. Poleg tega vključuje fiziološke senzorje ter omogoča uporabo opomnikov in komunikacijo s skrbniki. Naprava temelji na mikrokrmilniku ESP32-S3 in je zasnovana s pomočjo več tiskanih vezij. Delo zajema celoten razvojni cikel – od začetne zasnove in načrtovanja do implementacije in testiranja.

Title:Voice assistance and localization system for home care of elderly individuals
Abstract:
This master's thesis presents the development of a assistive device designed to improve the quality of life for elderly individuals, particularly those with dementia. The device, named TIKA, integrates functionalities such as voice assistance, spatial localization, and fall detection. It utilizes modern technologies including Bluetooth Low Energy - BLE, ultra-wideband - UWB, GPS, and LTE to enable presence detection, movement tracking, and voice interaction through pre-recorded audio messages from family members. Additionally, it incorporates physiological sensors and supports the use of reminders and communication with caregivers. The device is based on the ESP32-S3 microcontroller and is designed using multiple printed circuit boards. The thesis covers the complete development cycle—from initial concept and design through implementation and testing.
