Abstract
Diplomsko delo se osredotoča na metodo optimizacije z rojem delcev, s poudarkom na razvoju interaktivnega grafičnega vmesnika za vizualizacijo delovanja algoritma. Ta metoda, ki temelji na kolektivnem vedenju posameznih delcev v iskalnem prostoru, omogoča učinkovito iskanje optimalnih rešitev za različne probleme. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljena osnova algoritma in njegove modifikacije, medtem ko praktični del obravnava razvoj grafičnega vmesnika v okolju Matlab. Vmesnik omogoča 3-D in 4-D prikaz gibanja delcev, kar uporabnikom olajša razumevanje delovanja algoritma ter vpliva različnih parametrov na njegovo učinkovitost. Metodo smo preizkusili na standardnih testnih funkcijah. Rezultati potrjujejo, da vizualizacija pomembno prispeva k boljši uporabniški izkušnji in razumevanju metode, hkrati pa omogoča učinkovitejšo prilagoditev algoritma specifičnim potrebam.

Title:A tool for visualization of the particle swarm optimization algorithm
Abstract:
This thesis focuses on the particle swarm optimization method, with an emphasis on the development of an interactive graphical interface for visualizing the algorithm's operation. This method, which is based on the collective behavior of individual particles in the search space, enables efficient discovery of optimal solutions for various problems. The theoretical part presents the fundamentals of the algorithm and its modifications, while the practical part covers the development of the graphical interface in Matlab. The interface allows for 3-D and 4-D visualization of particle movement, making it easier for users to understand the algorithm's operation and the influence of different parameters on its efficiency. We tested the method on standard benchmark functions. The results confirm that visualization significantly contributes to an improved user experience and understanding of the method, while also allowing for more effective adaptation of the algorithm to specific needs.
