Abstract
V delu vzporedimo numerično reševanje enačbe Smoluchowskega za lokalni anestetik. Na mreži nevronov izvajamo simulacijo prehoda lokalnega anestetika s pomočjo enačbe Smoluchowskega v odvisnosti od kemijskega potenciala. Računska zahtevnost reševanja diskretizirane enačbe Smoluchowskega nas vodi v vzporedenje. Programsko kodo vzporedimo na centralni procesni enoti in grafičnih procesnih enotah, za vzporedenje uporabimo orodji OpenMP in CUDA. Rešitev obsega vzporedenje programske kode na centralni procesni enoti, grafični procesni enoti in več grafičnih procesnih enotah hkrati. V delu prikažemo primerjave v časih izvajanja izračunov med omenjenimi orodji in s prikazanimi rezultati potrdimo smiselnost uporabe vzporednih programskih rešitev za dani problem.

Title:Parallelization of Numerical Solving of Smoluchowski Equation for a Local Anesthetic
Abstract:
We are using parallelization to numerically solve the Smoluchowski equation for local anesthetics. We are simulating the transfer of local anesthetic on the gird of neurons with the Smoluchowski equation, which includes chemical potential. Computational complexity of solving discretized Smoluchowski equation will lead us to parallelization of code. We parallelize code with the tools OpenMP and CUDA on the central process unit and central graphic units. The solution includes parallelization on a central process unit, graphic process unit and multiple graphic process units simultaneously. We present times of execution between used tools. With the results, we present the meaningfulness of using parallelization for the given problem.
