Abstract
Ptuj je mesto z bogato zgodovino, posledično so zgodovinske in arheološke zbirke Pokrajinskega muzeja Ptuj Ormož obsežne. Trenutno muzej nima ustreznih prostorov za shranjevanje zgodovinskih in arheoloških materialnih virov.

Title:Historical and archaeological collections within easy reach: Conceptual design of the Ptuj museumand archaeological depo : magistrska naloga
Abstract:
Ptuj is a town with rich history, and consequently, the historical and archaeological collections of the Ptuj Ormož Regional Museum are extensive. Currently, the museum does not have adequate facilities for storing historical and archaeological material sources. Most of them are located in the basement areas of several buildings in Ptuj, surrounding manors, and in the castle granary. Most of these buildings are not properly equipped for the purpose of museum and archaeological storage, so it is urgently necessary to arrange a building for storage, as well as for the documentation and presentation of this historical and archaeological material. The arrangement of a museum and archaeological storage facility is planned for the storage, documentation and exhibition of the historical and archaeological collections of the Ptuj Ormož Regional Museum, along with the potential inclusion of additional accompanying programs such as an exhibition space for an enological collection with a tasting area for local wines. The design is based on the idea of an open or publicly accessible storage facility in the castle granary building, where new volumes, accesses, and passages are placed, verified from the standpoint of architectural design, statics, and cultural protection guidelines, all with the purpose of making the historical and archaeological collections available for public viewing.
