Abstract
Idejna zasnova ustvarja delovno-bivalno okolje in omogoča dolgotrajno bivanje z ohranjanjem psihofizičnega ugodja.

Title:
Celestial expansion - Aether program Conceptual design of a self-sustained habitat on the Moon : idejna zasnova samozadostnega habitata na Luni
Abstract:
The boundaries of our scientific and technical disciplines are constantly pushed by our insatiable interest in the nature of the objects we see in the night sky and our enthusiasm to explore the unknown. Our society has benefited for millennia from the constant desire to explore and push the boundaries of what is known. The thesis tackles the lack of proposals for longterm living in outer space which include solutions for the absence of magnetic field, microgravity, presence of micrometeroids, extreme temperature fluctionations and cosmic radiation. In short, a solution for appropriate technological, psychophysical and environmental conditions. Through reviewing scientific literature, interviews with experts and researchers from different disciplines working on the topic, analysis, comparison, evaluation and relevance of existing habitat proposals, results of past experiments and research related to the conditions, design and operation of the design, I set the starting points for the thesis. I use the NASA database and lidar technologies to construct and analyse the topography. The proposed conceptual design creates a working-living environment and allows for long-term living while maintaining psycho-physical well-being. The Habitat consists of a number of modules transported to the lunar surface by Starship rocket and assembled by remote control and artificial intelligence. The habitat is designed as an autonomous unit, which can be duplicated and connected to form a wider urban network.
