The Montessori pedagogy is an innovative approach to education that fosters children's independence, responsibility, and development through the use of specially designed wooden tools. These are not merely toys, but tools that support children's learning and the development of fine and gross motor skills. The method is distinguished by its child-centred focus, allowing children to explore and progress at their own pace. The development of a tool for enhancing gross motor skills is a complex process involving several systematic stages. In my master’s thesis, I have presented a modern approach to the development of a wooden tool. After creating a 3D model in SolidWorks, I optimized all potentially critical details through numerical testing. Following the optimization of the 3D model in SolidWorks, a prototype was produced. The prototype was tested using a Zwick Roell 100 tensile testing machine. Finally, I compared the results of numerical testing with those of the prototype testing, providing appropriate commentary and analysis of the results.
