The goal of this thesis was to create a flexible and more affordable spectral analyser with
a higher frequency range than those offered by mobile applications. It operates on the MiŠKo
3 development platform. In addition to functioning as a spectral analyser, the platform is also
used for measuring the amplitude response of circuits and displaying signals in the time
domain.
The thesis describes the theory of spectral analysis, with an emphasis on Fourier
transformation and series. The work includes the development of a printed circuit board (PCB),
which is used as an add-on for the MiŠKo system. Along with the hardware development, we
also developed software, which is explained using flowcharts.
Experimental results confirmed that the spectral analyser accurately measures the
amplitude spectrum of a signal, especially when using a flat-top window function, which is
characterized by minimal scalloping error. The measurement errors average around 2.2 mV,
which is quite precise. We are also satisfied with the measured shape of the transfer function.
